Menus

Menus for Mac and Windows versions are nearly identical. Only the Quit and About SuperSync menus differ, due to OS standards.

File Menu

• Configure Local Library - Set up your primary library
• Rescan Local Library - Check for missing files, add new files, and check for changes
• Pause iTunes Updates - Defers reloading iTunes library and adds/deletes to iTunes.
• Show Log Window - View the informational and error messages generated by SuperSync.
• Exit (Windows only; Apple users use Command-Q or find Quit under the Apple Menu)

Edit Menu

• Copy, cut, and paste for text within dialogs
• Select all can be used to select text or tracks in any of the track tables
• Preferences brings up the main preferences dialog.

Controls Menu

• Find Tracks - Search for media files in your libraries. Remember to use the "Show all" to clear your search.
• Show All and Resort - Show all tracks and add/delete changed tracks
• Empty Trash - Permanently delete any files that have been added to the trash
• Next Track, Play, Pause are player controls
• Volume Up/Down - Change the volume about 10% up or down
• Show Transfer Status

Remote Menu

• Configure Remote Library - Set up your second library to compare against
• Connect to Server... (Connect to a remote SuperSync server)
• Connect to LAN Server (Submenu, lets you quickly connect to local SuperSync servers)
• Re-scan Remote Library (Library Rescanner finds and helps correct problems with your library)
• Close - (Closes the remote library)

Action Menu

• Play - Starts playing the selected track using the built-in music player
• Open in iTunes - Opens the file using iTunes
• Synchronize - Adds the selected tracks to the copy queue for copying from one library to the other
• Don't Synchronize - removes the selected tracks from the "to-do" queue of tracks to synchronize
• Synchronize Playlist - Synchronizes the playlist by adding it to the iTunes and adding the tracks
• Mark Tracks - Lets you mark tracks for later inspection or action
• Unmark Tracks - Unmarks the tracks
• Get Info - Display information about the track, including file path, etc.
• Show File - Opens the Finder or Explorer window for a given local file
• Put in Trash - Marks the track for permanent deleting
• Remove from Trash - Removes the file from the trash

Status Menu

• System Status - Shows Version, memory, up time, and other system stats
• Library Status - Shows stats on local and remote libraries
• Player Status - Shows current song playing and time remaining
• Server Status - Shows server information
• Transfer Status - Shows upload and download progress
• Selection Status - Shows number of tracks selected
• iTunes Status - Shows iTunes info, including library size, last xml rescan time, and update progress
• Lock Status - Locks the status to prevent it from changing to another topic. Also unlocks the automatic change.

Tools Menu

• Help - Show the SuperSync documentation
• Online FAQ - Visit our online web Frequently Asked Questions page
• SuperSync Web Site - Visit our home page
• License and Credits - Thanks to all those who have contributed code and inspiration
• Check my IP Address: Looks up IP address and finds global IP (requires network)
• Check for Updates - Check with the SuperSync web site to find a version update
• Check iTunes Connection - Checks AppleScript or COM connection to iTunes
• Tell a Friend - Launches your email client with a link to SuperSync. Referral business is appreciated.
• Send us a Suggestion or Submit Bug Report - Use this to contact us!
• About SuperSync - Show application splash with version and registration information
